Cosmopolitan Cocktail

This origins of the Cosmopolitan are somewhat disputed. According to the International Bartenders Association the original recipe is based on Absolut Citron, a lemon-flavored vodka.

Some sources credit South Beach, Florida bartender Cheryl Cook with the original creation although the drink was common in gay bars in the late 70s and early 80s. In an online interview,Cheryl Cook states she created the drink in 1985 or 1986.

Recipe :

40ml. Citrus Vodka
15ml. Triple sec
20ml. Cranberry juice
10ml. Fresh lime juice
Garnish: Flamed orange peel

Add all the ingredients to a shaker filled with ice, shake sharply, and strain into a chilled martini glass.
